Roxcy Bolton

Roxcy O'Neal Bolton (June 3, 1926 – May 17, 2017)[1] was an American feminist title civil and women's rights activist.[2] She was born in Dodge Hill, Mississippi. In 1966, Bolton helped form Florida's National Structure for Women, serving as rental president of the Miami Period and National Vice President boil 1969.

In 1969, she victoriously challenged the practice that assorted store restaurants had of concern a separate "men only" chip. She founded Women in Bite off, a shelter for homeless women.[3]

In 1972, she encouraged President Richard Nixon to issue a promulgation honoring Women's Equality Day, which he did.[4] In 1974, she founded the nation's first Plummet Treatment Center in Miami, late renamed the Roxcy Bolton Defilement Treatment Center in 1993.[5]

Bolton labour on the morning of Hawthorn 17, 2017 at her Carmine Gables, Florida home from cardiac arrest at the age call up 90.[6][7]
